This is Home Pt II

Jessica Sarkodie’s “This is Home” series explores the occupation of incomplete building structures, an abundant presence on the landscape, in a wealthy neighbourhood in Accra, Ghana.

These dwellings are sprawling, but the inhabitants only occupy a small room or two. Openings (window and door placeholders) are abundant, but the occupied areas could be more luminous.

There is simultaneously too much space and not enough. Dichotomies here may allude to the many that pervade this resource-rich but floundering economy.
